This release of Recorded Crime – Victims, 2014 (cat. no. 4510.0) contains replacement content. Outcome of Investigation data for Other Theft in Tables 5 and 10 have been removed due to data quality concerns. Corrections have also been made to victimisation rates in Table 21 for for victims of sexual assault aged 45 years and over. The corrections relate to the Female and Total Persons populations in the Northern Territory. Finally, a number of small typographical errors have been corrected in the following chapters: Victims of Crime, Australia; Victims of Crime, states and territories; and Victims of Assault, selected states and territories.

This supplementary release provides experimental data regarding victims of selected Family and Domestic Violence-related offences for selected states and territories. Additional content includes:
- a data cube presenting data drawn from police crime recording systems and based on a Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) flag as recorded by police officers;
- Key Findings from experimental family and domestic violence statistics;
- Explanatory Notes (from paragraph 94) relating to the Experimental Family and Domestic Violence Statistics; and
- definitions of family and domestic violence-related terms in the Glossary.
